"California Art Club's 97th Annual Gold Medal Juried Exhibition and Sale" ~ April 27 - May 18, 2008

This is the California Art Club's annual flagship exhibition kicks off with the artist's reception on Friday, April 26th. This gala event will host the awards ceremony and give the artists and their public a chance to get better acquainted. Tickets are $75 in advance, or $100 at the door. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres beginning at 6:00 p.m., awards ceremony at 8:00 p.m.

This year, CAC Vice-President David C. Gallup has served as Artist's Chair for the event, helping to select the jury of important artists and academicians who would choose the artwork for inclusion from a vast selection of submissions. In the end, less than 1/4 of the work submitted was selected, making this year's exhibition in the most exclusive in recent history, and possibly in the history of the club.
