Storm at Lizard Rock
Lizard Rock in Wildwood Park is a local landmark familiar to hikers and bikers of the Conejo Valley. One of the things I love the most about painting there, aside from the great silhouette it cuts, is the smell of the wild grasses and California soil. I can't look at this painting without smelling the dried straw in the evening humidity just before a summer rain.
