Gathering Magic
As I watched the effects of the seasons on the colors of the sky, I found that late spring was (at least this year) a time of very soft, subtle cloudless sunsets with little more than a soft pink at the horizon for a sunset display. Still, these paintings have a quiet, medatative quality which some of the more spectacular skies lack, and they remain some of the most serene paintings I have ever produced.
