Close of the Day
From high on Rambla Pacifico Ave., overlooking the Malibu coastline I found a spot to catch a few sunsets. The wonderful thing about painting sunsets for a year is that they still have not lost their ability to surprise me. Several times I thought I had the routine changes in color memorised; thought I had learned the system. Now I know that the infinite power of light to refract and reflect will remain elusive and surprising with every sunset. I am glad that too much studying could not kill the wonder and beauty of the sunset sky.
