Thunderhead
This is the only painting in the show with a north facing view of the sunset. Sometimes the best view is not to the west, and on this night the west was bland, but a large thunderhead to the north gave a hint of the weather in the deserts over the hill. Thunderstorms are rare here, and whenever we get one at night I always sit out and watch and listen until it passes. I stayed up until 2a.m. with this one.
