The Commuter's Reward
This view of the Kaynan Road offramp of Hightway 101 was the site of several sunset paintings for me in 1999, but this one has got to be my favorite. The view of Ladyface Mountain's distinctive ridgeline on the left, and the glow of fast food signs off the freeway below are always the sight that tells me I'm home when I return from L.A. No matter how pleasant a trip has been, being home is always a welcome feeling.
